Vivek Govil is the Vice President Schools at Pearson based in London. He has held a number of roles at Pearson, including CEO of India. Prior to Pearson, Vivek has worked in Consumer Products, Hospitality and Advertising in India and the UK. Vivek has been the governor of a special needs school in the UK, and is a governor of a private virtual school in the US. He is an MBA from IIM, Calcutta and is married with two sons.

Lord Prof. Bhikhu Parekh was born in Amalsad, Gujarat, in 1935. He graduated from the University of Mumbai and did his Phd from the London School of Economics. Prof. Parekh has contributed to world knowledge as an academician, social scientist, political economist and philosopher. He has taught at several universities. He is professor of political philosophy at University of Westminster, Emeritus Professor of political theory at the University of Hull, UK and was until recently centennial professor at London School of Economics. Between 1981 and 1984 he was the vice-chancellor the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. He is also visiting professor at several universities including McGill University, Harvard, Institute of Advanced Study Vienna. Prof. Parekh is also active in British political life; he was Deputy Chairman of Commission for Racial Equality.
He was appointed a life peer on 10th May, 2000 as Baron Parekh, of Kingston upon Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire and was appointed to the House of Lords (UK) in 2000. He has won a number of awards some of them being BBC’s Special Lifetime Achievement Award for Asians in 1999 Sir Isaiah Berlin Prize (2003) by the Political Studies Association, UK. The Government of India conferred upon him the title of Padma Bhushan in 2007.
