Child Rights Projects Supported by CRY UK
Development at CRY UK is sustained by the partnerships we build at the grassroots level in India. We do not run our own projects. Instead we act as the link between these grassroots level initiatives that work with children (short on resources and people) and organisations in UK that have the resources to help them. These partnerships, with effective child development initiatives, are keys to the lasting change that we are trying to bring about. The role of CRY UK in these partnerships goes beyond mere funding. We draw on the grant management services of CRY, our partner in India, to ensure optimal utilisation of funds and enhancement of the quality of the supported project initiatives. Currently, CRY UK supports 2 projects in India.
- Jago Foundation is a project based out in Jharkhand and works on the issue of displacement especially of tribal people.
- Project Gram Swaraj Sangh (GSS) in Gujarat, India works with scheduled tribes - mostly Desi Kolis and Parkara Kolis. Also Bhils, Vagharis and Vanjhas.
